Balancing act

Two roles I fill that are unique to me in this stage of my life and overlap quite a bit are being a graduate student and a parent; a grad-parent if you will. One of my occupations would be making flashcards while my son eats dinner. Activities that I engage in while making the flashcards is reading through my notes, choosing information to include and writing my notecards. While making the flashcards, I also watch my son eat to make sure he isn't taking too big of bites and his food isn't getting cold and I also answer an unlimited amount of questions put forth by my five year old. A task in making flashcards is gripping a pen and rotation at the wrist when flipping the cards over. A task involved in watching my son eat dinner is visual acuity and communicating with him.

Until next time,
Sam the Student
